You Can’t Done More Work Increasing Working Hours

Increasing working hours is not a guarantee that you will be more productive. You will not be more productive, because you will increase job done, but also you will increase the time for that job.

I have seen different persons working in the same working places with different results and different time that they need to complete the same job. It is normal. But, why is this the case?

Before some period of time, I have talked with an entrepreneur who told me how his employees after eight hours working time hurry to go home without thinking about the work accomplishments.

I asked him to make a difference in the speed and quality of work done between different employees. His answer was that difference exist, and different employees give a different performance in their working behavior.

This is normal. He can’t expect that each employee will need the same time to finish the job. Instead of that, he must find what are the reasons for this difference if the difference is really big, and to try to fix it.

All of us already have seen different people. One of them are highly productive people who done all things always. Others that struggle with doing the basic things that they want or like to do.

What’s the difference between highly productive people and average persons that struggles in doing their job?

Are there some systems, tools or habits that highly productive people implement in their everyday job, that averages don’t use?

Yes, there is a difference between highly productive people and averages. And, yes there is something as a system, tools and habits that highly productive people use and averages don’t.

In my personal experience, I always think that I am not good as I like to be. Maybe that’s normal thing because I always want to make myself more productive tomorrow than today. But, on the other side that’s my thinking make a pressure on me to make something different, to try something different, to organize myself differently, to try different systems… Without trying and making mistakes, I can’t learn something new and improve myself.

Different people have different habits and different productivity systems that they use in practice. Some of them didn’t use systems to get organized themselves in getting things done. Before several years, I was one of them, and that was a really terrible period of my life. I can’t say that now everything is perfect, but I can say that implementing systematically approach in organizing myself allow me to get more things done with the same effort.
